As a compassionate and strengths-based psychologist, I aim to assist clients to better understand and utilise their unique strengths in order to develop strategies to overcome difficulties and to build increased resilience.
As a New Zealand Maori, my practise is largely shaped from an holistic worldview.
Working from a client-centred approach, I tailor therapy to each client’s needs and preferences. As such I use different strategies and approaches with different clients and at different times during therapy.
My therapeutic approach draws on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Behaviour Activation, Motivational Interviewing and Brief Solution Focused Therapy.
I hold a Postgraduate in the Practise of Psychology, Masters in Applied Psychology (Behaviour Analysis, First Class Honours), and a Bachelor of Arts degree.
I am a registered Psychologist with APHRA and a Member of the Australian Psychological Society.
